Encouraging new talents

You are student, researcher, entrepreneur or health care user? Do you live in France or Quebec? Are you working on an innovative projet in digital therapeutics? These contests are made for you!

Your project must be related to the field of digital therapeutics (DTx). You must have at least one idea validated by a state of the art and a need confirmed by users.

  • Important information:

Applications for both contests can be sent from 25 April 2019 until June 18 2019 before midnight (UTC/GMT +2h, Paris time).

The finalists’ presentations will take place during the cocktail in the presence of the event stakeholders and officials.

The Science contest

1 500 €

financial allocation.

  • Highlighting the finalists’ publication at the event
    in a poster format for the finalists.
  • Opportunity for the winner to be integrated into the DTx consortium.
  • Access to the Lucine Lab (Research Laboratory).
  • Access to the Lucine Care Program to build your database.

Eligibility criteria

You must be enrolled in a French and/or Quebec university, or be associated with a laboratory of a French and/or Quebec university.

You must have carried out a scientific state of the art for a first validation of the feasibility of your project.

You must have validated the specific needs with users.

Having initial results is an advantage for your application.

Assessment criteria

Projects will be pre-evaluated on the basis of:

The jury will be attentive to the solid state of the art validating the feasibility of the research program, the methodology and the validation of the needs by the users.

Finalists will have to present their project in front of a public and a jury in a 3 minutes speech. The jury will have 2 minutes to ask questions.

The jury will be composed of international and regional specialists in digital therapies: Industrialists, professors and scientists.

The assessment will be made 50% by the public and 50% by the jury.

Applications can be sent until June 18 2019 at midnight (UTC/GMT +2h, Paris time).

The Start-up contest

1 500 €

financial allocation.

  • Access to a “Business” support program supported by Hemera and Lucine.
  • Access to legal support offered by TGS Lawyers.

In addition, if you are between the ages of 18 and 35, OFQJ offers:

  • One air ticket for one person to Quebec. A return ticket up to a maximum of 750 € plus 500 € to cover the costs on site.

National Bank of Canada also offers:

  • Free banking support: advice and account opening from France.
  • Connecting with our network of institutional and private partners (see sectoral if necessary).
  • Free bank fees during the first year for the account opened in the name of the company.
  • Welcome offer for the opening of a personal account subject to obtaining a visa (temporary or permanent) with free banking fees and credit card access.

Eligibility criteria

You must be a start-up created or in process of creation located in France or Quebec. You have a project to create a digital therapy in health.

You must have carried out a state of the art to certify the technical and scientific feasibility of the project.

To be able to propose an acceptable Business Model with a financial projection of 18 months.

You must have validated the specific needs with users.

Assessment criteria

Projects will be pre-evaluated on the basis of:

A pitch deck of 10 slides maximum including the following points:

  • Presentation of your company and your team (date of creation, number of employees, …).
  • Presentation of your innovative solution / project and how it stands out from your competitors (identified needs, end users, …).
  • Your business model (customers, partners, …).
  • What you have accomplished so far and your goals for the next 18 months.
